💛 Reasons to Try This Frozen Aperolada

  1. Two cocktails in one – It’s the best of both worlds: tropical piña colada meets sophisticated Aperol spritz.

  2. Refreshing slushy texture – Perfect for hot days when you want something icy, fruity, and smooth.

  3. A showstopper drink – That vibrant orange hue and layered flavor make it Instagram-worthy.

  4. Easy to make – Just blend, pour, and garnish—no complicated bartending skills required.

  5. Vacation in a glass – The mix of pineapple, coconut, and Aperol instantly transports you somewhere sunny.

🍹 Variations

  • Bubbly twist – Top with a splash of prosecco right before serving for extra sparkle.

  • Creamier version – Add a little more coconut cream for a richer, dessert-like cocktail.

  • Lower-alcohol option – Cut the Aperol in half and add a bit more pineapple juice.

  • Frozen fruit swap – Try frozen mango or peach instead of pineapple for a different tropical flavor.

  • Mocktail version – Skip the Aperol and add a splash of orange juice with a touch of non-alcoholic bitters.

This Frozen Aperolada (Aperol Piña Colada) is a tropical-meets-Italian twist on the classic piña colada. Fresh frozen pineapple, creamy coconut, and a splash of Aperol blend into a vibrant, sunset-hued slushy that’s as refreshing as it is beautiful. Perfect for summer parties, pool days, or any moment you want to channel vacation vibes in a glass.

Ingredients

  • 1 heaping cup fresh pineapple chunks (frozen solid for best texture)
  • 3 oz Aperol
  • 2 oz white rum
  • 3 oz coconut cream (not coconut milk)
  • Juice of 1 lime (about 1 oz)
  • 1–2 tbsp agave or honey (optional, depending on sweetness)
  • 1 cup ice cubes (add more if you want thicker consistency)
  • Pineapple wedges + lime wheels for garnish

Instructions

  1. If your pineapple isn’t already frozen, freeze the chunks for at least 2 hours before making.
  2. Add frozen pineapple, Aperol, rum, coconut cream, lime juice, sweetener (if using), and ice to a blender.
  3. Blend until thick and smooth, stopping to scrape down sides if needed.
  4. Pour into chilled glasses, garnish with pineapple wedges and lime wheels, and serve immediately with a straw or spoon.
  5. Tip: For an extra luxe texture, freeze your serving glasses first so the slush stays cold longer.
