Quick-sautéed shrimp in olive oil and garlic add a rich, savory depth—plump, tender, and full of flavor.

A bold, flavorful appetizer with a creamy, cheesy Cajun kick — perfect for summer parties, game days, or anytime you want to impress!

Ingredients

  • 8 oz medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • ⅓ cup mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 2 tbsp freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • ½ tsp onion powder
  • ¼ tsp dried thyme
  • ¼ tsp dried oregano
  • 1 French baguette, ends trimmed and sliced into ⅓-inch rounds
  • 1 tbsp Cajun seasoning
  • small handful parsley, chopped
  • 2 tbsp fresh dish, chopped for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Cut baguette into 1inch slices and toast them slightly, you can also skip this step if you would like as the bread does get toasted more with the shrimp mixture.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add garlic and sauté for 30 seconds until fragrant. Add shrimp, season with salt, pepper, cajun seasoning, and cook for 2–3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from heat and chop shrimp into small pieces.
  4. Alternatively, bake shrimp at 400F for 8-10 minutes.
  5. In a mixing bowl, combine shrimp, mayonnaise, sour cream, mozzarella, Parmesan, onion powder, thyme, oregano, and some chopped parlsey.
  6. Place toasted baguette slices on the prepared baking sheet. Spoon the shrimp mixture generously over each slice, spreading evenly to the edges.
  7. Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until the tops are golden and bubbly. You can also turn on the broiler for the last couple minutes for an even crispier touch.
  8. Remove from oven and sprinkle with chopped dill. Serve warm and enjoy!
